Starting December 26, 2009, Starbucks is going to merge their two current loyalty programs, Starbucks Card (gift card) and Starbucks Gold, and create one program that is free for all. It called My Starbucks Rewards. This program is free for anyone who joins, and all who join get a free drink on their birthday. You'll also get all the other freebies mentioned above like free syrups and refills. This new program will have different benefits for different assigned levels based on frequencies of visits. The entire program is free! You don't have to pay to be a part of this Rewards program. If you currently participate in Starbucks programs you'll automatically be transfered to the new program at whichever leve is appropriate.
